The power of Mentor

A mentor is an invaluable synergising partner whose cooperation you must seek if you wish to go far in your endeavour. He/she has the experience and has sailed through the troubling waters you may be going through. They have made their own mistakes and have learned the vital lessons they need to impart to you.THE MENTOR IS CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR GROWTH AND IS WILLING TO PROVIDE ADVICE, GUIDANCE, AND COUNSELING AS YOU GO THROUGH YOUR OWN LEARNING CURVES. The fourth is the HARDHEARTED FRIEND. This person is not like the kindhearted friend. His role is a little more difficult. He/she will not give you a gentle pat on the back and say, "don't worry, everything is going to be fine". His/her role is to give you a two-by-four blow to the head and push you to do the extra when you want to give up. The hardhearted friend is the person who doesn't pamper you, but takes an objective look at your goals, views them logically, critically and identifies any weakness in it that may hinder your progress. He doesn't feel comfortable with what you are willing to be comfortable with. The role of the hardhearted friend may not be pleasant to you, especially when you want to stop before you reach the goal. The Bible says, "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy is deceitful" (PROVERBS 27:6). The fifth is the INSPIRATIONAL FIGURE. The role of this person may come close to that of a mentor but they are not really the same. The inspirational figure is more like a "role model", someone from whom you glean. He/she may be distant from you, but they are solid in deeds and character, and you can't be perfect at what you do without learning from them. They serve as the ideal model for you to follow if you must reach where you are going. IF YOU WANT TO BE DIFFERENT IN THIS WORLD IN AN EXTRAORDINARY WAY, THEN STEP OUT OF THE CROWD AND DO WHAT NO ONE HAS DONE. 

Addicted to you

When sadness loomed around me you were present to pull me out of it
It was the fear of lossing something that meant so much to me
It was the thought that you can't feel the way that she made you feel
Epicness of the past can't repeat in the future
It hurts to walk around the place with smile on my face like everything is alright
I can't stand to be around you my feelings for you will just overwhelm me
Having such a irreplaceable feelings for you is second to none
I know being around you will cause me pain so I stay away
But maybe I have become admitted to your face

Seek the cooperation of others

     The power of cooperation is recognised whenever a group of people are willing to divest themselves of self-determined outcomes and invest their talents, will, and energy in a common direction in order to accomplish a common goal. To put it simply, if your goal is to succeed against all odds and break the barriers of tough times, then you will want to harness the power of cooperation with other people in your line of work. But you must have the ability to distinguish between those people you really need to help you further your desires and those who cannot. Life is tough enough on its own, but to go through life without the support of others is the most debilitating thing. I want to show you below some kind of people whose cooperation you must seek as you go through life pursuing success. The first is the KINDHEARTED FRIEND. This kind of friend is the one that is willing to offer you anything from words of encouragement to their network list, to even financial help for you to go ahead and pursue your dream, especially when times are tough. This is a generous friend that desires to see you progress and make it. If you are going through tough times they are there to help you. They know your potential and they believe in you so they stand by you when things are not going as desired. The second is the one I call the DIE-HARD OPTIMIST. Life, being what it is, we all get overwhelmed with challenges sometimes. You need the cooperation of this person to help you see the positive angle from where you are standing. This kind of person helps you focus on your strength and the result, rather than your weakness, your limitations, or the challenges. The DIE-HARD OPTIMIST CONSTANTLY TELLS YOU EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS LIKE NOTHING IS WORKING. They believe that no matter what you are going through, everything will work for your good.

Synergy

There is an African proverb that says "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go in a team". This proverb underscores the importance of cooperation. Every success needs the support of others. There are things you can do alone and it will take you to where you want to be fast. But there are things you need to do with others if you want to find yourself on the further road to success. In the world of success, there is something called synergy. Synergy means two things working together creating a greater impact than the sum of their individual parts. The law of synergy states that when the joint action of agents is brought together they increase each other's effectiveness. I believe synergy is what. As humans, we must learn to see each other as synergising partners.  we can do more together, no matter the adversity, than we can alone. BE SURE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE IN THIS LIFE OR YOU WILL END UP LIVING AS A CARBON COPY.

Falling for his best friend by Akonu Emmanuel

The trees blew in the wind with their red and yellow leaves falling slowing onto the soft grass
As his connection and attraction to his best friend increase on seeing her
An unfamiliar feeling arose in his stomach as his eyes bore into hers
 She could see the different Color in them and how they held so much meaning inside
His tense body relaxed at her touch and the coldness in his eyes seems to release
His nonchalant demeanor spoke volumes about his modesty, even more apparently by how suddenly he refuses to make eye contact
In that moment vulnerability was seen his eye
Her eyes briefly connected with his and his body jolted. She was mesmerizing and terrifying like a big tidal wave in the middle of the ocean where your life boat was floating in peace. She would appear  out of nowhere, swallow you whole and obliterate every sign of you on earth
His mind was unconsciously moving his body toward her. He'v never been in a trance before, but I thought this was how I felt like
Her eyes were glowing like fiery embers, beaming deathly daggers
Indeed love is like solitude that meet to protect and help.

You are amazing. You are smart, talented, beautiful in every way, caring, passionate, loving, trustworthy, humble, kind, in fact you are just perfect. You are a person who always deserve the best and obviously nothing less. You birthday gives all the people whose lives you've improve a designated day to tell you how happy we have been since we met you. My wish for you this special day, is that God will lift you even higher and expand your coast beyond your imagination. May God bless you abundantly as He opens a new page of Celebration and Anointing over you.May God protect and lead you. Eagerly awaiting in the depths of our hearts
A storm dreading apart
Lingering in every single mind
Flowers blossoming in the evergreen wood
The smile on your face is like the sun emitting warmth in an embrace
But I guess love is seen from different view
The feeling sunk deep
Desire struck with a sting
Thought compiled like a heep
In love I tried to stitch a bond that will last
In you I found closure
When my lips crave for yours
Because of doubt I didn't take a step
And because of peace I found Freedom to express
Even the cage can't hold my heart in
I was always a dear but you were never near

A poet is an oracle
He speaks the language of divinity
With barrage of countless words
A poet is a reader of time
He rhymes with words of hope
He flows through an uncharted course of history
Flooding minds with ancient wisdom
Spoken in uncharted diction
But applicable in any dispensation
A poet is traveler
Who travels through time
A poet is a person who sit under a sky full of stars and his eyes are open
A poet is a person who's words doesn't crumble or flake off the pages
Whose are filled with words of hope and life

Love accepted, a beautiful thing, love returned
Love's light, value is given, death may come
Easily created and effortlessly destroyed
Hopes and dreams entwined in glee
Why is there so many tears falling?
A future without you is a world without color
Making the darkness appearing so beautiful
Whatever you are waiting for
Something that seems not to be forth coming *Fate*
Shadows of the past hurt me anything I see....
The more I try to escape and struggle the more it follows me
Something it just seems to be the beginning of the end
Still in the one that turns to ash
You ruin my smile, disrupts my breathing
And with all this I'm not leaving
Like paper glue I'm stuck with you
I will be ripple apart if I leave you
You are my unwanted addiction
I speak but you don't listen
You just want to hung up in your own emotions
All I want to do is disappear
To retreat in my own  sense of solitude
But then you claim I have attitude
But your response was disappointing
Bleeding my heart
Truth be told I don't wanna say anything more
But your words Pearce beyond skin-deep
Making me lose my sense of clam
I lash back with words of hate
Creating my own little living hell
 Then I'm left  with your bad perception
Telling people of your own little recollection
Of event that never happen
Making people believe in fiction that never became a reality
I used to think our love was strong
Now I realize it was fragile

The first kiss with you was special. At that moment time as at pause, lips were in collision, all I could hear was the sound of our heart making melody. At that moment all that mattered was you like....
For a moment I couldn't think of anything than your lips on mine. Something special happen like a spark
When you drew back, l looked into your eyes with a smile, I knew it was more than a first kiss. I knew it was the beginning of something tremendous..........

Once I found a beautiful rose in the heart of the garden
Enclosed in the toughest of pain
Making the rose to hide her beauty
But in all that happen the rose keep getting beautiful
May the rain of love cause photosynthesis to happen

Holy Spirit

My take on the the teaching of the Holy Spirit -------------------Akonu Emmanuel

The Holy Spirit of God is not some smoke or cloud, nor is He a light. He is not a thing! The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. Why do we call Him the third Person of the Godhead when, in fact, He's the first person to be revealed in the scriptures? This is because He's the last of the Trinity to be known by us. When you study in Genesis chapter one, it says, "In the beginning God(Elohim)  created the heaven and the earth"
'Elohim' in the Hebrew, is plural for 'God'. Then we are told that the Spirit of God moved over the face of the deep.Thus, even though the Holy Spirit is the first to be revealed from 'Elohim' He is the last Person that we are acquainted with, because Jesus have to go for Him to come.The Holy Spirit is like Jesus and he doesn't receive power from God .In fact,He is Power.
When you call the Name 'Jesus' the Holy Ghost goes into action.The Holy Spirit dose not have a specific name like Jesus but His description (Holy Spirit)and character(comforter, counselor, helper,intercessor, advocate, strengthener) is revealed to us.
