Mental Unawareness killing the society

Among many problems a nation may be facing such as insecurity,corruption,leadership-failure,tribalism, cultism etc. They is a common idiosyncrasy between them which is mental unawareness. So what is mental unawareness? Mental Unawareness is the wrong structure of mindset in which people have towards people and the society.

We must understand that a nation development depends on the mental awareness of the individual citizens because that is the way our ability to improve and refine a nation can work. And a nation is a community people committed to a common heritage, language, land, jurisprudence, Ideals and values.

Leaders with mental unawareness are leaders with policy of stomach infrastructure and lack intellectually proficient which result to leadership failure.Insecurity will not be a issue of discussion today, if provision of functional educational system have been in place,I will now quote Johnson Oghuma  who said When men are liberated you will not be thinking of evil. An idle man is the devils workshop, a man that is well educated, there is opportunity and hope that something better is coming and will definitely not take to arms,.Corruption will be minimum today if individuals where train to be honest in their deeding.Although tribalism cant be axed overnight but when people are enlightened enough to realize how ridiculous tribalism is ,it will reduce to a great extend because we all need to be able to live and grow in a nation that encourages justice, equity, fairplay, a level playing field, and opportunities for fulfilling personal goals. We would observe that cultism is more common in places where the rule of law is broken and where they is a failure of family values which have been eroded but when we enlightening people on the dangers of cultism and institution providing guidance and counseling in order to guide and counsel the students it will stop. The only way we can be mentally aware is by Education and Education is a tool which provides people with knowledge, skill, technique, information, and enables them to know their rights and duties toward their family and society. As well as the nation, it expands our vision and outlook to see the world. It develops the capabilities to fight against injustice, violence, corruption, and many other bad elements in society.Lets take a look at JAPAN that turn from a consuming nation to a producing nation, children from their schools and home are train on how to be modest and keen on cleanliness, students from the first to sixth primary year must learn ethics in dealing with people, besides this, the kids are taught qualities like grit,self-control and justice .They believe that the goal of education is to instill concepts and character building, not just examination and indoctrination. That is a nation that understand the necessity of enlightening the mental capacity of the people because this individuals are the future of the nation. We now see the need to learn, unlearn and relearn in other for us to be moving at a pace of progress. When you have a nation that is governor by enlighten persons the nation will definitely grow in every aspect .Lets imagine a nation where we refine our own crude and use the by-products to power the investment-hungry petrochemical industries, where we grow what we eat and eat what we grow, as exclusively necessary, where government invests heavily on these infrastructure, where technical experts work-hand-in-hand to produce finished products that not only feed the nation but produced in huge quantities for exportations and a government that focus on e-learning. For us to be mentally aware to succeed in this 21st century we need a learning process that takes advantage of the four(4) industrial Revolution,Learning that equips students to flourish in this new era,Learning that leverages educational big data and Al to tailor learning to individual students" cognitive characteristics and achievements, learning that does not leave anyone behind(developmental disabilities, etc.),learning that makes use of geniuses/ prodigies (the gitted).knowledge is efficiently acquired using EdTech, which maximize and optimize knowledge input including :Cross-curriculum learning, enrichment programs, experiments, feedback and group discussions. Technological resources need to be encouraged to keep pace with their increasing use. In other areas of life since the usage of technology has been insufficiently harnessed in schools for a range of reasons. Yet it is vitally important for children who will be the users and pioneers of new technologies. The widespread use of mobile phones in the developing world holds potential as a classroom and home learning resource. The fact that young people often enjoy using technological devices can increase active engagement with learning technology in tandem with face to face contact with the teacher and other students can make excellent use of minimal resources and connect teachers and students with technological advances seven, reduce the cost of education.

For example making use of ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHY(EEG) bands to track students concentration and focus in class they do this because they wa no nt their classrooms to be active and adaptive .

So in conclusion, society must take learning very important in other to prevent mental unawareness from deteriorating the further generation. It is high time authorities and individuals work collaboratively to tackle this issue of mental unawareness.

My digital model for the health sector

My digital model for the health sector and why?

Record-keeping is not done properly which is problematic, and it is recommended that there should be continuous training, monitoring and evaluation of nurses on record-keeping issues, supply of adequate recording materials and proper time management amongst nurses to improve record-keeping challenges. The need for comprehensive record-keeping remains fundamental in public hospitals in order to improve patient care. With ever-increasing numbers of individuals needing the information in a medical record, the physical condition and location of the record become extremely important. Here are some disadvantages of using a manual (non-computerized) paper medical record.

1. Costs of manual medical records

There are several types of costs associated with manual patient records. One type, duplication of the record, requires paper and copying supplies, as well as the staff to create and distribute the copies. Staff hired to assemble, file, retrieve, or distribute the hard copy chart is a costly expense. Storage of the paper record necessitates the use of valuable space that could be better utilized. The records also need to be protected from water, fire, or mishandling of the paper to preserve their physical integrity.

One of the most expensive disadvantages of the paper record is duplicate patient testing required to replace lost or missing test results.

2. Lost productivity from manual medical records

There is no ability to sort data fields in a paper record. Staff responsible for reporting mandated data elements to the appropriate organizations must perform a manual review. This is a very labor-intensive process, and inaccuracies can occur.

3.Quality of manual medical records

The issue of quality encompasses the physical record, the documentation, and patient care. There are limitations to the physical quality of the paper record. The paper is fragile and does not last permanently. Normal use of the record may result in torn or stained documents. Also, over the years, the ink used to complete documentation can fade. Actual damage resulting from water or fire is another threat to the physical integrity of the paper record.

4.Fragmentation caused by manual medical records

The level of fragmentation varies based on several factors. These factors include:

• the patients ability to communicate pertinent health information to the provider;

• the ability of the provider to collect information that is accessible to other providers;

• the providers ability to directly elicit health information from the patient and any written documentation to create an appropriate treatment plan; and

• the limitations of the patient record system(s) that are being utilized to collect and disseminate information.

A well planned and implemented electronic medical record system should address and/or alleviate many of the general disadvantages of the paper record.

Blockchain provide a better solution to manual recording and more.

Blockchain technology has the ability to address the documented shortcomings of public and even private legacy health information technology systems. Electronic medical records are the backbone of every modern healthcare system, but your medical records grow longer and become more complex with each visit to your doctor. And then since every hospital and every doctor's office has a different way of storing them, it's not always easy for our healthcare providers to obtain them.Blockchain technology applications have the potential to transform our current use of health information technology and the associated hardware and software infrastructure.

The promise of blockchain extends into healthcare allowing a transformation of our current system and its use of information technology. The current use of information technology in healthcare can be advanced with blockchain. The fundamental values that blockchain will bring include decentralization due to its distributed ledger technology, interoperability and increased security and immutability. These benefits enable a healthcare system that is integrated, seamless and more secure and with an increased level of compliance. With the rapid development of mobile computing, wearable technology and wireless sensing, people have been using

different types of mobile and wearable devices, such as smartphone, smart watch, smart band and smart glasses etc. to realise various health-related applications, such as remote diagnosis [Health Monitor, mySugr - Diabetes Tracker Log, PTSD Coach, Fitness, Eye-care live etc]Large amount of personal health data are produced by these devices and these data are valuable resources for healthcare research and commercial applications. Properly sharing personal health data will benefit all related stakeholders including the device users, patients, researchers, and even the whole public healthcare system. The research about using personal data generated by mobile and wearable devices to improve the quality of healthcare service has been popular for decades. The above-mentioned studies mainly focused on using blockchain to manage the static health data like EHRs or Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). The EMR contains relatively static data such as almost unchanged during the life of the patient, like gender, blood type, fingerprint etc., or gradually changing, like the age, weight, height, disease history etc.

This type of data usually require less storage space which makes it possible to save and share data inside the blockchain. Generally, health data can be divided into dynamic and static data . The static data refers to the personal data that almost unchanged during the life of the user, like genome and fingerprint and so on. The dynamic data reflects the activity of the user during a period of time, like heart rate Electro-Encephalo-Graphic (EEGs) data; or the state of the organism at the time of sampling, like blood test data.

The dynamic data can he further divided into rapidly changing data, like the acceleration data, and gradually changing data, like height and weight etc.

In contrast, the instant data are obtained in one single measurement. The instant data can be unchangeable static data

or gradually changing dynamic data. The classification methods are based on the type of the data and the data acquisition methods, not based on the health indicators represented by the data. The data reflecting the same health indicator may belong to different categories. For example, we can count the number of heart beats in one minute and use this single number to represent the heart-beat status and this single number is of instant-dynamic data. But when EEG is used to monitor the heartbeat over a period of time, the data collected during this period is the same heart-beat, but it is continuous-dynamic

data. And the supply chains, the pharma industry has the highest standard for product safety, security, and stability. It's right for disruption. For example, supply chain management with blockchain can be monitored securely and transparently. This can quickly reduce time delays and human mistakes. It can also be used to monitor costs, labor, and even waste in emissions. At every point in the supply chain, it can be used to verify the authenticity of products by tracking them from their origin combating the counterfeit truck market that costs 200 billion in losses to the market. Annually companies like chronicled block pharma and mode are working towards more efficient logistic solutions mode in particular, works in compliance with EU laws that require proof that medicine or products have not been exposed to certain conditions, especially higher high or low temperatures, which may change their quality mode solution was to develop a sensor that records environmental conditions while physical products are in transit and permanently recorded on the blockchain.

In conclusion,it seems clear that from banking to supply chain logistics, it is ready for disruption. And in healthcare in particular, there is a massive opportunity for the blockchain evolution to lead a digital transformation from medical records to pharmaceutical supply chains, to smart contracts for payment distribution that are plenty of methods to leverage this technology.

Say no to drug abuse by Akonu O Emmanuel

THE MENACE OF DRUG ABUSE AMONG YOUTH ELITES OF THE 21ST CENTURY

Drugs are substance that change the way a person acts feels and behaves and when is taken as overdose the term drug abuse is applicable. Example of drugs are Cocaine, marijuana, heroin and prescription pills. Drug abuse is also known as drug addiction and is defined as chronic, relapsing brain disease that is characterized by compulsive seeking and use, despite its harmful consequences. The initial decision of drug taking is voluntary but repeated uses leads to its addiction. Addiction of any form is dangerous and so it must be discourage among youth.

Before I go further I would explain some terms

Youth is the period in young person life between the age of 20 to 40

Elite is a group of powerful people who hold a Disproportionate amount of wealth, privileges, political power, or skill in a group.

The 21st (twenty-first) century is the current century in the Anno Domini era or Common Era, under the Gregorian calendar. It began on January 1, 2001 (MMI) and will end on December 31, 2100 (MMC).

Drug abuse have now be on the rise in the 21st century as more youth tend to take it to escape from reality. They feel it will help them cope with whatever feelings they are trying to mask, the sad truth is after using these drugs many of the users have a feeling of regret and feel worse than they were before. Drugs abuse ruins a youth finances, health, academics, destroy your relationship, and can cause mind anxiety psychopathic response, Violence, crime, vagrancy, attempted suicide, loss of interest in formally enjoying activities, Suffer jail over it and even cause death.

HEALTH RISKS OF COMMONLY USED DRUGS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

 Cocaine — Risk of heart attack, stroke and seizures

 Ecstasy — Risk of liver failure and heart failure

 Inhalants — Risk of damage to heart, lungs, liver and kidneys from long-term use

 Marijuana — Risk of impairment in memory, learning, problem solving and concentration; risk of psychosis — such as schizophrenia, hallucination or paranoia — later in life associated with early and frequent use

 Methamphetamine — Risk of psychotic behaviors from long-term use or high doses

 Opioids — Risk of respiratory distress or death from overdose

 Electronic cigarettes (vaping) — Exposure to harmful substances similar to

exposure from cigarette smoking; risk of nicotine dependence.

These are clearly negative impact on today's society and it is not a secret that drugs kill brain cells and addiction is hard to get rid of.

Drugs abuse has become the major factor leading to increase in

 School dropout

 premature pregnancy among girls  Illiteracy

 Robbery,etc.

COMMON REASON WHY THE YOUTH ABUSE DRUGS ARE;

1. Depression 2. peer group influence 3. Socioeconomic status. 4. Stress and ability to cope with it. 5. Parental and familial involvement. 6.History of abuse or neglect

WAYS IN WHICH WE CAN REDUCE IT ARE:

1. Government agency like the NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency) and NAFDAC (National agency for food and drug administration and control can help fight drug abuse.

2. When there is an increase in community advice and counseling to reduce substance abuse.

3. Educate and pray for them (Emphasize how drug use can affect the things that are important to them— such as sports, driving, health and appearance.)

4. Increase access to skill-building opportunities for parents and adults working with youth to reduce youth use

5. Change consequences for youth charged with minor in possession to support reducing substance abuse

6. Consider media messages. Social media, television programs, movies and songs can glamorize or trivialize drug use.

7. Discuss ways to resist peer pressure. Brainstorm with the youth about how to turn down offers of drugs.

8. Encourage youth to keep a well-balanced life. People often turn to drugs and alcohol when something in their life is missing or not working. Practicing stress management skills can help you overcome these life stressors and will help you live a balanced and healthy life.

9. Leaders should set a good example. If you drink, do so in moderation. Use prescription drugs as directed by your doctors don’t take overdose.

In committed to making the right choice though they may be times where you want to throw in the towel don’t worry nothing bad is going to happen to you if you stay strong it just the mind trying to convince you that you need your presence craving, and at the end you will be happier, stronger, healthier and recovered.

Butterfly by Akonu O Emmanuel

Butterfly

Like the butterfly unfold itself through Stages

Like the student working on himself/herself to be better

Like a football player training day in and day out to be the best player

Like a couple growing and developing themselves to make the relationship succeeds

Though we may creep now

Tomorrow we shall be as the butterfly

People who succeed leap hoping they could fly and not falling like rock

They is more to life than watch other people live it

We are born with potential, goodness, ideas so let set them free

Just like the butterfly struggle through the cocoon to get the fluid from the body into the wings so that it would be ready for flight

That’s why challenges are not meant to cripple us but to bring our indeed strength out

Exceptional skills to design and create project By Akonu Emmanuel

Exceptional skills to design and create project

In my head I think of a country with technology awareness and social connotation of idea and working together to bring that to pass

The ability to vastly improve and refine

Imagine the old and young coming together for a progressive nation and a accelerating economy

The past is what it is now let’s rethink

For the fact that a idea work in the past doesn’t mean it will work now

We live in a dynamic world and so must our strategic change

The strength of Africa must be reflect out from us

Let us all try to eradicate poverty because that is the soil on which evil grow

Lesson learnt ,it time to grow

If the ocean is never short of water nor the dezard short of sand then they is no ending to knowledge

No fish jump out of the sea because of wave

So despite our debt rate now,it is not too late to start paying them

Let turn Obstacles to Opportunities

We have a high human capacity

It is time to make use for them
