Holy Spirit
My take on the the teaching of the Holy Spirit -------------------Akonu Emmanuel The Holy Spirit of God is not some smoke or cloud, nor is He a light. He is not a thing! The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. Why do we call Him the third Person of the Godhead when, in fact, He's the first person to be revealed in the scriptures? This is because He's the last of the Trinity to be known by us. When you study in Genesis chapter one, it says, "In the beginning God(Elohim) created the heaven and the earth" 'Elohim' in the Hebrew, is plural for 'God'. Then we are told that the Spirit of God moved over the face of the deep.Thus, even though the Holy Spirit is the first to be revealed from 'Elohim' He is the last Person that we are acquainted with, because Jesus have to go for Him to come.The Holy Spirit is like Jesus and he doesn't receive power from God .In fact,He is Power.
