Sometimes the past causes them pain 

But the future gives them hope

The desire burning in them to be great was there always 

Even most a times when they have given their best they still want to give more

Indeed while their companions slept there were toiling upward in the night

Stress is harmful  by Akonu Emmanuel         Stress is the "pressures caused by anxieties and worries as a result of problems associated with everyday living etc". Stress has many causes: A. It can be caused by financial troubles (lack of money to meet daily needs). B. It can be caused by family troubles (between spouses, parents and children and in-laws too). C. It can be caused by protracted negative conditions (problems that seem unsolvable). D. It can be caused by life threatening occurrences too (threats like the one experienced by the prophet Elijah).
